A/X Armani Exchange

For its coveted retail space in the high-rent Time Warner building in New York's Columbus Circle, fashion retailer A|XArmani Exchange hired Midtown Neon Sign Corporation, which in turn sub-contracted Dougie Lazer of XS Lighting & Sound, for its sign. Because the building's landlord stipulated that all retailers in the Time Warner building had to have all-white signs, the importance of the lighting of this client's sign was magnified. Together with Dave Mellina of Midtown Neon Sign Corp., XS Lighting & Sound installed a number of Color Kinetics bulbs, including the ColorBlaze, iColor Flex, iColor Accent and iColor Cove models. Color Kinetics lights were installed to backlight the channeled letters of the sign, and lights were also installed within the channeled letter themselves. The lighting intensity is not washed-out by daylight, and the letters appear to glow as if they are surrounded by a halo. With the creative use of lighting, A|X Armani Exchange is able to distinguish itself from its retail neighbors.
